Troop 305 Leadership

Scout Leadership

Troop 305 is a scout-led organization. Scouts fill leadership positions within the troop including senior patrol leader, patrol leaders, assistant patrol leaders, chaplain, troop guide and historian. Scout leaders serve on the Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) that meets monthly with adult leaders in the troop to discuss troop plans and activities

At the begining of each year, the scouts meet as a group to outline the activities that they would like to plan for the year.

Adult Leadership in Troop 305

While 305 is scout-led troop, adult leaders still plan a key role within the troop by guiding the scouts in their experiences by teaching the skills and values needed throughout the scouting adventure.

Adult leadership positions include the Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmasters, Quartermaster, Troop Committee Chair, Troop Committee Members and Merit Badge Counselors. The Troop Committee meets monthly to discuss troop issues and activities.

Merit Bagde Counselors

By serving as a merit badge counselor, you offer your time, knowledge, and other resources so that Scouts can explore a topic of interest. If you are interested in becoming a merit badge counselor, you should contact the Troop Advancement Chair at a Troop meeting. You will need to complete the Application For Merit Badge Counselors and a BSA Adult Application.
