Summer Camp @ Krietenstein: THIS WEEK!

BRIEFLY FROM THE SCOUTMASTER: The week is half over already and many new things have been learned. There has been rowwing, paddling, fishing, shooting and much more.

This is a small camp. There are 141 campers in camp this week. Yes you read right 141 and that includes the adults. The staff to scout ratio is very good so there is a lot of personal attention. The staff and campers get along great and the campers get to do a flag cermony and help with grace everyday.

Higlights include: the beach party last night, tonight there is a campfire with OA tap outs, an old time family night. Each Troop was asked to provide a skit and a song for this campfire, but to our regret our song was already taken so we only get to do our skit.

See you when we get back! (read your email for more info)

Summer Camp @ RANSBURG

1 Camp Down - 1 to Go!

Our week at Ransburg was great. We had a little bit of wet weather, one power outage and a LOT of FUN!!

Troop 305 scouts earned merit badges, worked on their Firecrafter ranks (see the photo to the left), learned new skills and made new friends.

Scouts - if you have not picked up your blue cards from camp, see Mrs. Brown at the troop meeting.

Philmont 2011

Troop 305 is going to Philmont in 2011. If you are part of the group going, watch for more information. We will begin getting ready in the not-too-distant future.

New Scout Books

The Boy Scout Handbook has been completely redesigned for 2010. There are rank requirement changes at all levels, and the information in the book is totally reorganized.

All scouts are to switch to the new book, regardless of rank or when you joined. If you have not bought your copy yet, please do so as soon as possible. Bring your old AND new books to Mrs. Brown in the office during a troop meeting to offically update your troop records.
